promo for 'Virtuoso Music for Brass' Steven Mead and Tomoko Sawano

A promo for the new CD 'Virtuoso Music for Brass- The Complete Works for Euphonium of Jules Demersseman'. He was a virtuoso flute teacher in the early 19th century and while working in Paris he met the famous instrument designer Adolphe Sax. Demersseman completed a superb set of pieces for an instrument that is now obsolete, the trombone with six independent valves. Steven Mead , a modern day brass virtuoso, performs these wonderful pieces on the euphonium , accompanied by the famous accompanist Tomoko Sawano. The CD is released beginning November 2009 on the Bocchino Music label.

Whilst we are quite sure most of these live clips were made without the permission of the soloist (!) we accept that these clips are a way of life these days, and if you have the time..maybe take a look at a few. Enjoy!!
Please let us know of any new clips you find that we should add to the list. You can email us: steve@euphonium.net or post them on the guest book on this site. Of special interest will be the series of educational videos Steve is adding to this long list of live performances.
