The first performance took place on Sunday 17th May a  marvellous new Euphonium Concerto, in an old traditional hall in the city of this historic city.It was a tremendous concert featuring many of the leading professional brass players from Zagreb, and all members of the Croatian Radio Orchestra.

I will be giving a full review of the new Euphonium Concerto by Vanja Lisjak for euphonium and symphonic brass section and percussion in the next days. I will hopefully by returning to Zagreb within the next three months to record this sensational work with these same musicians onto CD.

Vanja also arranged the Pavane (for a Dead Child) by Ravel for euphonium and brass which we performed at the end of the concert.
