As happened at the British Open BB Championhips, I will be testing out a criteria mark system, live, with www.4barsrest.com at the National Brass Band Championhip finals at London's Royal Albert Hall. There was a lot of very popular reaction to the system from the British Open in Birmingham, but I've updated the criteria just a little, after discussion with several colleagues. I've removed the 'Tempo' criteria and added another that covers the musicality and overall impressions of the performance. So still we have 10 different criteria, with a total of 200 marks available to be awarded.
