You can now listen to sound clips from The Hallows Concerto, Op.75 (Rolf Rudin) for Euphonium and Symphony Orchestra. I am delighted to let everyone know I have now put together 10 minutes of sound clips from a recent dress rehearsal on the day of a concert I did recently (5th June 2010) with the Neu Philharmonie Frankfurt, conductor Roland Böer.
This wonderful 30 minute concerto deserves to be more widely heard...and played ! The composer is shortly to make the solo part available for purchase, so I wanted to let more euphonium players, as well as prospective concert promoters, know what it sounds like. In this compilation of clips here you can hear four excerpts from the 1st movement, four from the 2nd and three from the 3rd. The concert that evening in Hanau went very well.
The next performance with me as soloist will be on Wednesday 21st July in Montepulciano, Italy, with the RNCM Symphony Orchestra, again conducted by Roland Böer. When the sheet music is available I will post this information on my website and on facebook.
